The latest update of the Google algorithm, Panda 4.2 has been finally released after much anticipation. It is technically a refresh rather than an update, and will be rolled out in the coming months. Panda aims to rank even small and medium high-quality sites higher on the results. Google has confirmed that around 2-3% of search queries will be affected by this refresh. Until now, no visible changes have been felt by any services, including Mozcast that track data on search results. But it is too late for content managers to make changes in their site once the rollout begins, though continually updating and staying relevant is the best way to go. Panda 4.2 is already on the run and noticeable changes could soon be felt.
